Simone Rocha x H&M collection: the full lookbook and release date have been revealed
It will go on sale online on March 11
Irish fashion designer Simone Rocha has unveiled her hotly anticipated collection for high street giant H&M.
Filled with her signature whimsy, frills and pearls, the collection is unashamedly pretty, as it brings back pieces from her large archive.
Best of all, at the designer's insistence, the collection caters to women, men and even children.
Her loose, roomy silhouette is revisited in multiple ways – as a sheer blush pink layer over a shorter A-line dress, as puffs of net on the sleeves of a woman’s top and even as a frilled peplum that runs around the hips of women’s tartan trousers.
There are large, creamy cable knit jumpers for men, women and children, while men get to enjoy a more pared down version of Rocha’s decidedly romantic vision. For example, the sleek trench coat that has a discreet row of pearls around the collar, a T-shirt given the same treatment, and a drawstring backpack that can, should he wish, be dressed up with a pearl bow.
For children, there is a white midi dress with a deep frilled neck detail, and a charming chinoiserie coat in a blossom pattern. Elsewhere, a black organic cotton dress comes decorated with broderie anglaise.
For those wanting something more comforting, there are simple wool cardigans, thick hoodies and joggers, finished with a smattering of pearls, while for eveningwear there are sheer, devore-patterned dresses and sparkling, shimmery bralets.
For fans of Rocha, this collection is a lovely trip down memory lane, while for newcomers to the label it promises to be an accessible introduction.
The Simone Rocha x H&M collection will be available in stores across the world and online on Thursday, March 11.
