Omega Well Intervention, which has over 23 years of experience developing and manufacturing downhole tools, will provide access to an engineering design team as well as manufacturing capabilities and test facilities for product development.
Employing over 40 members of staff, it is headquartered in Aberdeen, with additional facilities in Norway and Malaysia.
Wellpro, which delivers a comprehensive portfolio of thru tubing and inflatable packer products to the international oil and gas market, is also headquartered in Aberdeen.
From its facilities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kurdistan, Malaysia and Thailand, it provides technical engineering support combined with wellsite personnel responsible for flawless service delivery.
Omega Well Intervention Managing Director Brian Garden said: 'As part of Omega growth strategy, collaboration with Wellpro Group in the Middle East enhances the ability of both companies to offer a more comprehensive product range within the well intervention business space.'
'This collaboration will ensure that we deliver quality products alongside first-class service,' he stated.
On the Omega alliance, Wellpro Group CEO Jim Thomson said: 'This agreement, which covers the Mena market, gives us the opportunity to deliver a more complete well intervention package to the region.'
'In these challenging times, our clients are increasingly looking for ways to reduce costs and make operational efficiencies. Through this alliance we are now able to offer them a wider range of products from a single source,' stated Thomson.
Wellpro Group has grown significantly since its formation in February 2018, establishing itself as a leading international thru tubing provider, employing over thirty members of staff across the world, with expectations of continued growth throughout 2021 and beyond, he added.
