Fashion TV set for Dubai expansion

Emirate's infrastructure, other parameters all point to long and sustainable business environment: Rajan Madhu

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 8, 2018

After crafting success stories in India, Russia and the CIS, Rajan Madhu is set to take his act to Dubai.

'I have made a detailed study of Dubai's potential and feel that the infrastructure and other parameters all point to a long and sustainable business environment,' he said.

Madhu, who has the exclusive rights as the master licensor of all Fashion TV verticals, launched F Bar and Lounge in New Delhi followed by successful F venues in Mumbai and Chandigarh, creating each as a centre of very premium parties and events.

F Café has already opened its doors in Jumeirah Beach Residence, while F Salon has also recently launched a luxury ladies spa and salon located at Al Wasl road in Jumeirah.

These are the first of the FTV ventures, with several more in various planning stages.

A new-concept Indian fine dining restaurant was also opened in the convention centre of the Dubai World Trade Centre. Named Indus, which is popular for its biryani and kababs, it combines classic and contemporary Indian cuisine with culture and entertainment.

Madhu's career began in the late-1980s, when he founded the first modelling agency in Delhi, Kaanam, followed by Poise events and exhibitions, a company that conceptualises ideas and builds brands. He also brought the famed Metropolitan Models of Paris to India, which launched super models like Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova, and Naomi Campbell, among many others.

Apart from fashionable hospitality, he has successful business ventures in the exports of multiple pharmaceutical products to Russia, the CIS and the Middle East. He also owns 98.4 per cent in a pharmacy retail chain in India. Equally prominent in the field of trade promotions owing to business relations with the erstwhile USSR, Madhu, with his extensive experience and contacts, has led several successful exhibitions in the Tashkent and Almaty regions.

As former president of the India-CIS Chamber of Commerce, he was instrumental in organising exhibitions, buyer-seller meets, conferences and fairs in various CIS countries. As recognition for his undying efforts, he was appointed as chairman of India Section of FICCI's India-Ukraine Joint Business Council in 2012.
