DUBAI-based airline flydubai has announced Monday that it will boost its services to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with 12 new flights per week. An additional daily flight to Riyadh Airport (RUH) and five flights a week to Hofuf Airport (HOF) will start from 16 March 2019.

Tawazun Economic Council, the body tasked with the development of a UAE defence industry, has invested Dh460 million in Russian automotive brand Aurus, which specialises in luxurious and armoured vehicles.

The investments represents 36 per cent of the share capital of the company and will be directed towards the development of the company’s manufacturing facilities and capabilites, Tawazun said on Monday.

AIM Start-up, a UAE Ministry of Economy initiative, will feature double the number of start-up exhibitors at its 2019 event, the SME platform said on Monday.

Dubai-based logistics company Aramex on Monday confirmed reports that it is discussing a strategic commercial partnership with Dehlivery to restructure its operations in India.

Aramex said in a statement to Dubai Financial Market that it will offload its domestic express services in India to Dehlivery while continue to fully own, manage and operate its international express and freight-forwarding services.

Flights at Dubai World Central (DWC) are expected to soar by 700% during the upcoming 45-day upgrade of Dubai International’s (DXB) southern runway, Dubai Airports has revealed.

Fuel retailer Enoc on Monday said it has expanded its operations in Egypt to sell lubricants as well as aviation fuel at the North African country's airports.
