The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has cautioned the public not to fall victim to a scam message sent via SMS, which claims to be associated to an initiative by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.

The TRA issued a warning regarding such fake messages on its Twitter account, sharing a screengrab of the message that asked residents to reply with a private code that would be sent to them.
