The planned hyperloop system in Abu Dhabi may be able to recoup the required investment in a time frame of as little as 10 to 15 years, according to Bibop Gresta, the chairman of HyperloopTT.

On Wednesday, HyperloopTT announced that it signed an agreement with Aldar Properties to allow the company to begin construction of a Hyperloop system in Aldar’s Seih Al Sdeirah landbank in Abu Dhabi, located near the emirate’s border with Dubai and the Expo 2020 site and Al Maktoum International Airport.

The BMW Group has achieved its best ever first-quarter sales with a total of 604,629 BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicles delivered to customers, up 3 per cent over last year. This is the first time the company has sold over 600,000 vehicles this early in a year.

This year March was the company’s best-ever single month for sales, with a total of 256,162 (+0.5 per cent) vehicles delivered, said a statement from the company.

Nissan has completed its Formula E launch tour in Los Angeles with an event led by Margot Robbie, the company’s electric vehicle and sustainability ambassador, heralding an exciting era for Nissan as it enters the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

You could be hyperlooping your way between Abu Dhabi and Dubai as early as 2020! Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HyperloopTT) and Aldar Properties on Wednesdayinked an agreement for establishing the world's first commercial Hyperloop system, connecting areas between the Capital and Dubai.

As per the agreement, the system will come up in the Dh10-billion Al Ghadeer community, which is close to the Abu Dhabi-Dubai border. The community is located near the Kizad Free Zone, Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport and the Dubai Expo 2020 site.

Audi, a leading automobile manufacturer, announced that it has sold around 463,800 automobiles worldwide between January and March, up 9.8 per cent over the same quarter last year.

In particular, the high demand in China (+41.9 per cent) and North America (+10.2 per cent) drove growth in the first three months, said a statement.

In Europe, however, sales since January came in below the record-breaking level from 2017, down 4.7 per cent, it said.
