Formula 1 is taking pole position with Expo 2020 Dubai after agreeing a deal to become one of the official sponsors of the global showcase event.

The F1 sponsorship will include trackside and digital advertising at seven Grand Prix races in 2020 and starts, fittingly, in the UAE, with the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi grand Prix later this month.

Arabian Automobiles, the flagship company of the AW Rostamani Group and the exclusive distributor for Renault in Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates, is celebrating over 120 years of the brand’s automotive legacy with an art exhibition.

Dubai's Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that its taxi booking and dispatch services will be moved to Hala, the joint venture between RTA and Careem, as of December 7.

The move heralds a shift from the interactive voice response system of taxi booking in Dubai to Hala e-hailing system on the Careem app to improve quality and positive uptake since the launch of Hala in September, the RTA said in a statement.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Saturday said it has awarded a contract to upgrade three Dubai Metro red line stations.

Mattar Al Tayer, director-general and chairman of the RTA said the step is part of a five-year plan for the improvement of metro and marine transport stations.

A car that featured in the James Bond film Spectre is up for sale in Abu Dhabi this month. On Saturday, November 30, the classic Jaguar stunt car will be sold at a collaborative auction by Yas Marina Circuit and Sotheby's during the Abu Dhabi F1 weekend.

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) in Abu Dhabi said it has increased its fleet of taxis operating in the UAE capital with the addition of another 1,308 hybrid vehicles during the third quarter, up 35 per cent over the same period last year.

Hyundai Motor Group has announced the development of the world’s first Machine Learning based Smart Cruise Control (SCC-ML), a technology that incorporates the driver’s patterns into its self-driving behaviour, creating a custom experience for the driver.

The technology, an industry first, incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) within the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) feature. The system is planned for implementation in future Hyundai Motor Group vehicles, said a statement from the company.
